Add-Ons To Customize Your Experience
Enhance your birth experience with personalized doula support. We’ll have two prenatal visits—one virtual meeting in your second trimester and an in-person session around 36 weeks—to prepare and address your questions. During labor, I provide continuous, calming support tailored to your needs. After your baby's arrival, we'll reconnect for a postpartum visit within the first six weeks to reflect and ensure you're supported as you settle into this new chapter. FSA reimbursement is available for these services.
Complement your birth photography with a 4–6 minute film that captures the movement, sounds, and emotion of your labor, delivery, and the early hours with your newborn. This thoughtfully edited film allows you to relive the profound moments of your baby's arrival, preserving the depth and beauty of your experience in a way that still images alone cannot.
Your baby's first year is a journey of rapid growth and incredible transformation. This package offers three carefully timed photo sessions to capture these fleeting milestones: a newborn session within the first two weeks, a session around three months to mark the end of the fourth trimester, and a final session around nine months, celebrating the time your baby has spent in the world equal to their time in the womb.
Turn your birth journey into a tangible keepsake with a beautifully bound 10x10 album we create together. You provide the words—reflections, memories, or letters—and I’ll thoughtfully design an album that weaves your narrative alongside the images. This collaborative process can be deeply healing, resulting in a work of art that invites you to revisit your story for years to come.
I’m here for you through every stage—from the anticipation of pregnancy to the joy of welcoming your baby and beyond. By building a relationship over multiple sessions, I ensure a consistent, comforting presence, allowing you to feel at ease and truly seen throughout your journey into motherhood.
As both a trained birth photographer and doula, I offer holistic support that honors the emotional, physical, and visual aspects of your birth experience. With this dual expertise, I intuitively balance hands-on care with the artful documentation of your story. And the support doesn’t just begin when labor starts—it begins well before, through prenatal meetings where I share education, resources, and guidance to help you feel confident, prepared, and fully supported every step of the way.
I take the time to understand your unique birth hopes and preferences, ensuring that my presence is always respectful and unobtrusive. My sensitivity to your needs creates a safe space where you can fully immerse yourself in the moment, knowing that your experience is being honored and preserved with care.
My approach goes beyond capturing images; I’m here to help. My presence during your birth is calm and intuitive, allowing me to document your journey authentically. The final photos serve not only as memories but as affirmations of your strength and your incredible journey into motherhood.
Airyka R.
“She was unobtrusive yet captured every significant part of my labor, managing to find little details throughout our home, portraits of the tenderness transpiring between my midwife, doula and my partner and myself....really making a holistic document of the whole day.”

“Oh Robin, you’re amazing! Thank you so much! I already went through the images once and cried… seeing the photos really helped me process the birth and also see how strong I am through it all. Thank you for being such a powerful mirror.”
L&J
“So many great ones. Some of my favorites are definitely with (older sibling) checking baby out, and also her bringing her baby doll and feeding her baby.
I’m going to be going through these again and again.”
Beginning at 38 weeks, I’m on call for you 24/7. Once you’re in active labor, I’ll arrive and begin documenting your labor and delivery experience. I’ll support you in any way I can, while still remaining unobtrusive so you and your partner can soak up your time together.

OUR JOURNEY TOGETHER
What is included when I work with you?
I attend your birth team meeting as well as a one-on-one visit around 36 weeks so we can get to know each other. If you've hired me for maternity photos as well, this meeting can take place then, otherwise we can arrange a time to chat.
I am on call 24/7 from 38 weeks until you give birth.
I photograph labor, birth and the few hours after as you all settle in together.
Within 24 hours I'll send you 3 edited images so that you have something to share with family/friends as you announce your baby's arrival.
Within 4 weeks, I'll send you a complete gallery of images, high-resolution and downloadable for your personal use.
Do you take video as well?
I offer birth films as an add-on option! I take film clips thought your labor, moment of birth, and early postpartum moments and compile them together into a short film to tell the story of your day.
What happens if I go into labor in the middle of the night?
Being on call 24/7 means just that! I’m available to you whatever hour you need me. My phone is right next to my bed with my ringer on high, ready to hear from you. And I love it! I get so excited to hear that your baby is getting ready to join us in the world. I’m so excited to see you in all your power and grace as you work through this transition. I’m filled with energy knowing I get to witness you shift from one body to two. I am ready to show up for you.
Do you use a flash?
Short answer: Yes, but… I use my flash as little as possible, and in the least noticeable ways possible.
Long answer: Light is my medium. I follow light. I analyze light. I see the light streaming through the windows and reflecting off the shine of the floors. When I am photographing newborns or families I work exclusively with the natural light that is available to me.
When it comes to birth, often labor and birthing happens in the dark or near dark. I capture that - the dark room lit only by the glow of the bathroom nightlight… the shades drawn with just a sliver of light shining on the wall behind you. I have the equipment and skill that allows for making beautiful photos in these spaces. And then when it comes to the moment of birth, things are moving faster and in order to capture these fleeting moments we may need more light. In that case I use a flash. Always bounced off the ceiling or a wall and never pointed towards anyone. My use of flash is as subtle and sparingly as possible - I find that most people don’t even notice that I’ve used it at all.
What training do you have?
I am a lifelong artist! I have professional training both as a photographer and specifically photographing and being in the birth space.
My undergraduate degree is in visual communication and included as many photography classes as I could take (I still dream of the long days spent in the dark room). I spent the first part of my career as a graphic designer, before making the switch to focussing on photography full time.
I completed course work and am a certified professional birth photographer as well as a certified advanced birth videographer through Birth Becomes You. I am trained to understand and be prepared for a variety of birth scenarios and am trained as a doula through both Cornerstone Doula Training, and Birth Becomes You Doula Certification.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! 50% of you payment is due upon booking and the remaining 50% is due at 36 weeks, before I go on call for you.
I also offer gift cards if you’d like to include contributions towards my services on a baby registry.
