On the day of your session, I'll arrive and assess the lighting to plan our shoot. We'll create a relaxed and comfortable environment, allowing genuine moments to unfold naturally.

After booking, you'll receive a welcome package with tips, styling resources, location suggestions, and a questionnaire to personalize your session. I'm also available for a Zoom or phone call to discuss any details or answer questions.

First, reach out via the inquiry form. Within 48 hours, I'll send you my booking guide, which includes all of the information you need to move forward. After signing and paying the retainer, your session will be officially reserved on my calendar.

Your Questions, Answered
Do you offer mini sessions?
I do not offer mini sessions to new clients. I have found that with more time with my clients I am able to get everyone when they feel most at ease, and in turn capture more authentic images. The families I've worked with have all seen the benefit of this as well and feel like they see the true heart of their family in the images we make together.
Twice a year, I do offer exclusive mini sessions in San Francisco, designed especially for returning clients who have one or more sessions booked in the same year. These brief yet meaningful sessions are perfect for capturing your family's growth on a regular schedule.
Where should our session take place?
In your home... outdoors... a mix of the two? I'm here to help you choose the right fit for your family’s vibe and have plenty of suggestions if you're not sure where to start.
We have our photos, now what?
It would be such a shame for these beautiful photos to only live on your hard-drive! With a degree and professional background and in graphic design, I can help with album layout, offer archival prints, and can help selecting and designing gallery walls.
But my toddler/kid hates photos!
First of all, I have a 4 and 8 year old.. I GET it!
Secondly, I really do tailor each session to you and your family's needs. Have a kid that takes awhile to warm up? I'll plan for a chunk of time playing and connecting with them before I even begin clicking the shutter. Have a kid that makes faces and hides when the camera comes out? We'll plan some activities that keep them happy and focussed and I promise they will barely notice me there. Anything else you're worried about? I promise I have tricks for it all.
The most common thing I hear after family sessions is “That was so much fun!”. Your family plays together and interacts, while I guide you into the best light and move things along to keep everyone feeling at ease. We create beautiful images that feel like a reflection of exactly who you are.
What training do you have?
I am a lifelong artist! I have professional training both as a photographer and specifically photographing and being in the birth space and continue to take courses and attend seminars to grow in both areas.
My undergraduate degree is in visual communication and included as many photography classes as I could take (I still dream of the long days spent in the dark room). I spent the first part of my career as a graphic designer, before making the switch to focussing on photography full time.
I completed course work and am a certified professional birth photographer as well as a certified advanced birth videographer through Birth Becomes You. My doula certifications are through Cornerstone and Birth Becomes You.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! A retainer is due upon booking and the remainder is due before your session. If breaking the total up into smaller amounts your preference, I can adjust your payment schedule.
